Refrigeration Skillnet are providing fully subsidised training to job seekers from within the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Unemployment is one of the biggest challenges for the Irish economy with almost 450,000 people on the live register. This is especially relevant to the RAC industry with craft and related industries dwarfing all other categories of unemployed persons.

By training with Refrigeration Skillnet, job seekers are able to train in industry specific courses and also take the opportunity to network with industry leaders.

“Jobseekers training with Refrigeration Skillnet, will not only be able to access training that is directly relevant to RAC industry needs but there is an added advantage of networking opportunities with companies and employees in your chosen sector or region”

according to Howard Neville, Refrigeration Skillnet’s Network Manager.

“Skillnets have been very successful in their support of the unemployed with 1 in 5 trainees surveyed now in employment and a further 1 in 4 going on to further education. Job seekers can avail of fully subsidised training which does not effect their Social Welfare payments”.

As well as those on Job Seekers allowance or benefit, the scheme has been extended to include former sole traders and small business owners who have ceased trading, trainees on disability allowances, lone parents allowance and graduates.
