  • NI refrigeration stakeholders – Notification on new ban on certain types of F-gases in refrigeration from 1st Jan 2022
IRI December 1, 2021 0 Comments

Northern Ireland legislation are due to come into force on 1st January 2022. These may affect your businesses if you use commercial refrigeration equipment.

The aim on the bans is to limit NI’s emissions of certain types of fluorinated greenhouse gases (“F-gases”), which have a very high Global Warming Potential (“GWP”), and can exacerbate the effects of climate change.

Businesses that do not comply with the new bans are breaking the law and are liable for enforcement action, after 1st Jan 2022.

If you think that this may affect your business, please see the attached document, which will provide you with further information.
