Professor Eckhard Groll has been confirmed as the first keynote speaker for Rankine 2020 – Advances in Cooling, Heating and Power Generation taking place in Glasgow from 26 to 29 July 2020. An award-winning international speaker, Eckhard Groll is the William E. and Florence E. Perry Head of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. He is an acclaimed figure in the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) industry. He is world renowned for his research in fundamental thermal sciences as applied to advanced energy conversion systems, components, and their working fluids.

Professor Groll said “It’s a great honour to be involved in this conference. Rankine 2020 is a unique event, the first of its kind and it will be exciting to see the flow of ideas between the RACHP and Organic Rankine Cycle sectors.”

Abstracts can be submitted during September 2019. The paper should explore research and developments in the closely related fields of thermodynamic cycles, working fluids and their applications to refrigerationair conditioningheat pumps and power generation cycles. The conference will have three streams: cooling and heating, power generation and working fluids and will focus on refrigeration systems with the reverse Rankine Cycle and power generation systems using organic fluids.
