Two important pieces of legislation relating to the Fgas Regulations were published in Iris Oifigiuil on 17th June 2011. They came into force on 20th June 2011.
S.I. No. 278/2011 formally designates the EPA as the Competent Authority for implementation of the Fgas Regulations in Ireland.
S.I. No. 279/2011 brings the detailed requirements of the Fgas Regulations onto the Irish Statute books. It sets out the EPA’s powers of inspection and enforcement and includes details of offences and penalties for such offences under the legislation.
